Home inspector marketing?

Asked by sappolloni, North Port, FL Thu Aug 15, 2013

Just wondering how real estate agents respond to home inspector marketing and what works, and what does not work. Does it help when you bring goodies like pens and brochures along with food to get in the door and introduce yourself? Just trying to get an idea on what works and what agents like. And advice work be really appreciated. Thank you in advance.

We have become acquainted with home Inspection professionals through our office meetings. They explain how their service works and what they are prepared to offer the clients. Of course it is always ultimately, up to the client to pick the service provider. I also suggest an unbiased referral service such as "Angie's list" as well.

In my opinion, "face time" works. Agents have to see you over and over again to make an association with you and the service your provide. Given the fact most agents rarely go to their offices anymore, I would ask a broker if you could sponsor a monthly meeting or class. Once your in the door - shampoo, rinse, repeat! Once the agents can call you by name or or recognize you on sight, you'll get orders.
Good luck!

Try going to events at the Realtor Association or other places Realtors gather. Let them know why you are better than others. Good luck.

Sappolloni, Credentials.

Accuracy. Clear reports. 24 - 48 hours turnaround. Do not lump termite and other inspectors into your services as many are medicore. Allow the home buyer to select their own.
