Has anyone had much success getting listings Trulia?

So far I have noticed trulia is great for buyer leads, but has anyone had any leads asking for you to come list their house?

If you are active user on Trulia, you will always pop-up to the trulia home-owners. Just keep posting, searching and answering buyers-sellers questions, and of`course, it is great to have your own blog.

Quite often actually, I find the two best ways to get listing leads here on trulia is through my Trulia Blog, the key is to blog daily and always provide interesting information to garner their attention and show what you can offer them. the 2nd way is through answering questions in the Q and A section. Your answers need to be real and be of help to them. They should not include call an attorney and leave it at that and should not contain blatant self promotion such as call me and i can help you. the bottom line is sincere answers and bnlogs get sincere leads.

Absolutely but usually it won't appear to have come from Trulia. This past week I picked up 5 new listings and as I always do asked how they heard about me and 3 of them said they called me because I am "all over" Trulia and they wanted that type of exposure for their listings.

I'd like to reiterate what someone else said earlier, do some research and find out which sites are being navigated by the people in your area. For us, honestly, Trulia hasn't hit big yet but we have found where they are going to search for agents/homes. So far, we would like to dominate this site for our area in hopes that one day we can activate listings directly from Trulia!

I tend to stick with other sites for listing leads. trulia is a site that most people come to looking for homes to buy. now obviously they might have a home to sell as well but chances are they're only looking to buy. check out it's free and they offer listing leads to agents. good luck!

TU Judi,

If you read Judi's answer thoroughly, you will have an 'ah-hah' moment.
Just as you can not applaud with one hand, you also can not generate listing leads with a one dimension presence.
Become a consumer buyer or seller and have the Trulia experience. Now, solve the obvious problem with a multi-dimensional strategy. A well planned strategy does result in Judi's first line observation.
The caller really does not know how the found you..only the last place they found you. They did execute a very predictable validation exercise that they can not articulate but any professional responsible for their own advertising knows, It is the synergy of all these influences that result in the rewarding phone call.
The applause of many hands is much more rewarding. Ensure you have a complimentary element in your Trulia presence that will generate, "I need help selling my home" phone calls.

PS: You may find it beneficial to determine, by your own research, which aggregate website is most influential in your area. Focus your energies on the site that your community is looking at. For instance, in my area of Florida, Truila is more popular, by far, than Zitto. But the Z's tell a different story. You need to do your own research.

I have but it has been the result more of having many recommendations as well as from a few clients that had read my blogs.

Only one in 4 years. I don't pay for leads, just answer questions and write blogs.

Yes - though the leads were not captured in the Trulia system. The prospects saw me on Trulia and clicked through to my site, then contacted me from there. Lots of sellers surf Trulia, Zillow and other sites looking for comps before they list. About 80% of our residential clients say they've looked at Trulia for comps.

I received a call from an investor wanting to buy one of the properties I have listed here on Trulia. We engaged on a long conversation and he explained he had 2 properties he wanted to "get rid of" because he wanted to move all of his investment properties to one certain part of town. He was not very happy with the outcome of my CMAs and will wait a little longer to sell. This is not the greatest success story but just goes to prove that it can happen.

I did receive a lisitng for land ,yes you are right buyers ,inquire ,I was truly happy when she said ,I want to list .Yes there is hope ,you never know ,keep doing your best and hope for the best ,HENA MARTIN BROKER 760-251-2868

I get more listings via social media and being in neighborhoods than on trulia, personally. That is due to a highly recognizable presence, and working for a leading are a firm that I am afforded a good number of listings. People know I will not take every listing, too. They know if I take a listing on that i will thoroughly market a product. many of my listings are sold before they become active in the MLS, because of my network. I also price homes correctly, so there isn't a question of the value o the deal. My way takes a lot more guts, but it is what I pledged to do: Serve the public.

It doesn't happen often as we're in a seller's market, but eventually you'll get a few here and there.
