Has anybody signed up for Seller leads and had any success with it through the zip code or codes they chose? I felt totally hustled by Matt Ponzi

I wonder if Matt's last name really is Ponzi or if it's his fake work name. Either way, it's got to make you think....

Hi Timothy,

All of these type of 'lead generation' sites are hit or miss. It is also what you make of them. Some of them will be people already working with agents and did not realize they contacted another agent. Some will be good and some you will have to work for. I have had a lead generation site for about 3 months now. I have received a qualified buyer and 2 listings from it. Some of these sites are just pure luck.

When ever, without exception, a vendor says, "It really only takes one for it to be worth while" you should simply hang up the phone. Such vendors are wanting you to pay them for practicing accidental real estate. Such words reveal the program has no substance......and they know it.

You can get sellers from Trulia.
A viable seller LEAD from Trulia is a rare as a striped unicorn.

You will find that you are more skilled at getting quality leads than the folks at Trulia.
It is your responsibility to know who you want to do business with and applying the proper squeeze so you do not chase vapors.

Kudo's to Matt Ponzi! The lead selling business relies on victimizing those who are practicing accidental real estate. It's his job. If you are on six month auto-billing (the secret sauce behind all such companies) he got a big star on the tally board. Yep, you WERE hustled.

Since you have already been snagged, exploit this to hone your skills at hunting down citizens who want to remain hidden. That will prove useful later. What you do when the dog catches the bus in an entirely different story.

For the most part, the leads aren't that great. But every now and then, I get a decent one. In my opinion, it really only takes one for it to be worth it.

The vast majority of leads don't answer the phone numbers and rarely does an email get returned.

I have not used it. But I would be very interested to know!

Unfortunately the Seller leads have not been productive at all.... I found most of the seller leads I received were either from Agents checking the value of their listing, or from people just looking to see what the value of their home is with no interest at all in selling their homes.

I agree that the seller leads are not productive. Most of these leads are people/agents speculating and are not actually interested in selling property. If the leads were any good they wouldn't have to ask agents to commit to 6 months of lead purchases. Through personal experience I would not recommend signing up.
