Does anyone know how to reach the loss mitigtion department for Washington Mutual Bank?

I have been trying for 4 weeks to get any type of response on a short sale property from Washington Mutual Bank and cannot obtain a contact # or email through their system or the attorney firm that is representing them.

Marie, this might be difficult! Here is my experience with WAMU... I sent a short sale package to them via UPS in which they signed for last February. I have a signature from UPS. I also faxed it to them. They told me that they never received it even though I had proof. After having several conversations with them all of the sudden one day they told me that I did not have Authorization to have a conversation regarding the account. Even though I told them the exact dates and times I sent the authorizations and had conversations. They said it was too bad and would not talk to me. The next thing I knew the number I was using no longer worked. Oh, brother. It was an absolute mess! That clearly never made it to a short sale because I couldn't get anyway with them.

I suggest that you google WAMU and find there website and then contact a branch. Maybe someone there can start heading you in the right directions!

I hope this information helps! Best Wishes!

Marie,
Add up the hours and expense you have incurred so far. Minus what you might get paid. Equals...Is it worth it?

I checked it out on the web and the only thing I found was (866)-WAMU-YES
and you will asked to enter your client's loan number, so make sure you have that handy. Hope this helps.

If you're not having any luck I always resort to calling the Attorney General's office. They have given me, on several occassions, names and #'s of actual decision makers or at least people who are wiling to help you out. Good luck!
