I personally like Trulia as I enjoy reading the blogs and the questions. Zillow is very expensive if you sign on for a zip code, but having said that I work with several people that are having great success on Zillow but it takes several months. Also if you don't have recommendations on Zillow you are not found. I am actually annoyed that Trulia is now following Zillow in getting recommendations from clientws. Not that I don't have them but I think it is little much to ask your clients to recommend you on all the different sites you might be on.

Hi Patience,
I prefer Trulia over Zillow since Trulia allows you to post blogs where Zillow does not. I also feel that Trulia has a more user-friendly appearance. I think using any avenue to give yourself and your listings more exposure on the internet is worth trying if it is not too costly.

Best wishes!

It sounds like people are very happy with Trulia but it raises another question for me. How are you getting your leads from Trulia? Is it because you have bought additional marketing plans and levels or because you worked hard to get the VIP levels or your recommendations? I guess it could also due to the number of listings you have presently. Please let me know what you think is producing those contacts.

My vote goes to Trulia. Definitely, I get more leads from Trulia and am finding I am able to convert more of them. However, the majority of my leads are generated through my own website.

TRULIA hands down. The more sophisticated and informed Buyers are using TRULIA to their advantage. Result is more qualified leads to those of us who support and endorse TRULIA as a #1 Real Estate source.

I have had Trulia and ZIllow equal time (one month). I get on average 4 leads a week with Trulia. I have yet to get a single lead from Zillow. The only reason why I might keep Zillow is for the website that comes standard for premier agents. They are pretty sharp. I only spend 25 a month with zillow which is for maybe 20% impression rate.

If trulia had the nice website...... good bye Zillow. I havent tried yet.

Very good question, I was wondering how other felt.

Trulia definitely out numbers Zillow by far. I get most of my free leads from Trulia and FREE is wonderful. I know in the future I will be using some of their paid advertising, but for now I am very happy with the amount of leads I get from them without having to do much of anything. Thank you Trulia!

Patience - I would say that both Trulia and Zillow are good platforms, and there are others as well. My experience has been that things work well when you work at them. Expect no silver/magic bullets from any listing (or other type of platform) you engage with and pay for. Make it painful enough that if oyu do not work it, it will hurt (marketing cost with no ROI). Then, find out how the mousetrap works best and be consistent in working at it. I'd say that there are bunches of potential leads out there for you to serve on Trulia, just make sure you are engaged in working it to optimization. I hope this helps and here's to a great 2013 for you in Tahoe City! Cheers!
