Client Recommendations

Hi Everyone,
I have had several clients report back to me that they are having trouble leaving me a recommendation. Some think they have done it and it doesn't show up, some say they can't get through altogether.... is anyone else having this problem? I tried to send a request to myself to see if I could walk them through it, but Trulia blocked me (presumably because they thought I was trying to recommend myself)... Thanks in advance!

Have you tried to reach out to emily@trulia.com? She's been there for me more times than I can count.

Once again, I've had quite a bit of success reaching out to emily@trulia.com. She's addressed any and every issue, question or concern I've ever had.

Nothing so far from Trulia support. I actually tried to copy and paste one of my client's recommendations and upload it myself.... and when I typed in her email address for verification. It said that a recommendation request was already sent to her! Um.... I know, I sent it to her and she can't get it to work. Argh! Frustrating. :/

If your buyers, sellers, family members, neighbor and friends can't recommend you, that leaves only one channel left.

Wow, what is happening with Trulia's customer service? They are really AWOL lately. So many issues dogging the site, including blogs, SPAM big time, unethical and outrageous postings, blah blah blah.

Start calling their Customer Service number. Do it when you have a few moments downtime in the car if you have to, but let them know what's going on. Why are WE putting in time if they are not????

I have a listing that shows another agent that is not even employed by my Broker as the listing agent, Trulia has not been able to fix it...

I've had success by having the client email me the recommendation, then pasting it in and having Trulia send them an email to confirm that they wrote it.

So funny, I just noticed an agent who actually did recomment himself. Can you believe it? I've also had people tell me they tried to submit a recommendation and it didn't work. These are people who have written me personal notes to thank me for helping them sell or buy a house so I know they're not just blowing me off. There does seem to be some problem with the Trulia system on this.

Hi Sinead,

Not sure what the issue is; however, I have used the "Add" tab under Get Recommendations as follows:

Ask your clients to email you their recommendation(s). When rec’d copy/paste under the "Add" tab page, fill in your client’s contact info and hit the “Request Verification” button. Trulia sends to the recommendation to the Client's email so they can verify it. Once they do, it will show up under your profile and I believe you also get a notification email.
