Some other good options...

These guys are good becasue they give you material to study on your own, and then offer an in person crash class before the exam: http://www.clareinstitute.com/

And these guys are good for online-only prep:
to become and agent: http://www.realestatelicense.com/index-ca.aspx
license renewals for agents: http://licenserenewal.com/index.html
for brokers: http://www.brokerlicense.com/getYourLicense.html

Just took passpasspass for the past 6 weeks and passed my State Real estate Exam. This was my second try after using Allied Schools tests which proved they do NOT prepare you properly with like questions. Breezed through the test and was done within 1 1/2 hours. Thanks to passpasspass.com you guys are great! Off to my success now.....

I have used passpasspass.com. At first it sounded really stupid name for the site, but I took a chance since it was only $59 and they had 1800+ questions. What I liked about their test was they mix questions even the ones you answered correctly with the ones you answered incorrectly and sort of grill you to remember those questions and answers.

Fortunately I cleared my exam in the first attempt and in my opinion none of the online ones are enough. I referred to couple of other exam books as well besides the online test preparation software.

HTH.

BTW, I am at the next step and looking to see what all do I need to start my broker firm/mortgage agency. Do you have any pointers on that? How to go about creating a company, what type of company makes more sense etc.?
