Jose,
Yes there are.
HOWEVER, you are required to purposefully use SEO techniques in your effort.
Write a blog with "Forest Land In Orland Park Il" in the title and first line then go google yourself tomorrow.

You may find it beneficial to delete this blog since there may be very little forest land in Orland Park.

Simply typing away on Trulia won't help you, Being aware your presence on Trulia IS MARKETING, you need to maintain the same SEO discipline you would with any on-line activity. Be aware, static content has a self life of 6.3 nanoseconds. You need to get folks to make comments....like the question you just wrote and the ingenious blogs you are about to write.

Jose,

Doing anything on Trulia has enormous benefit. The more questions you answer, the more you blog, the more questions you ask are going to get you ranked higher in google. I get calls/emails pretty much every day from potential clients because of the work I do on here. Good luck with it all. If you ever need a good mortgage company, please keep us in mind!

Hi Jose.

Here's a little secret. Build your Twitter presence. When you blog, take the link and tweet it. Not only will you get found on Google, it builds a GREAT audience on both Trulia and Twitter for you in the future.

Use specific, local keywords in your blogs.

GOOD LUCK.

Great information. Thanks for all the input. I often ask myself the same question? Thanks for sharing.

Yes, plus it gives you a quality link back to your site. It is always a good idea to write on as many quality sites as possible.

I really wish there were such a thing.

Scott - I make no value judgments. I'm just concerned that Annette is feeding you subliminal thoughts with which to compose mind control blogs that turn buyers and sellers in zombies. It's happened before.

John, be honest. Are they ingenious or just pure genius?

Annette - you're frightening me, how do you know about the ingenious blogs Scott is about to write? Are you doing some kind of mind control thing?

Case in point. If I search on Google the term, "Boca Raton real estate", up come my results, first the 3 paid ads, then Realtor.com, Trulia & Zillow, in that order. If I pass paid ads and go right to organic results, anybody clicking Realtor.com won't see me. If I click the next result, Trulia, it takes me to 'Homes for Sale". If I click on 'Find an Agent', there I am. Blogs are attached to your profile.

If you title your blogs with 'long-tail keywords', you will show up directly.

IF YOU TWEET YOUR BLOGS, you'll get the most amount of exposure.

Good luck.

I agree with Mark and Jorge - Trulia blogging directs prospects to your Trulia blog, but where you really want them is on your own web site. If you blog on Trulia, always include links to get the reader off Trulia and to your site as quickly as possible.
I also agree with Philip, that for most of us online marketing doesn't produce the volume of quality leads that we get from traditional marketing (direct mail, community involvement, referrals, etc.). I'm seeing many agents over-dependent on blogging and online marketing. Blogging is fun - I do blogs for real estate and my wine adventures http://(www.wineadventurejournal.com) - but 80% of my revenue still comes from traditional marketing.

Not really. But if someone googles your topic, you could show up. Blogging doesnt produce much if anything.

Blogging, like most Internet based 'marketing' shows little real results and is not seem to be worth the time and effort.

Like Mark said, I would blog from my own site to direct traffic towards your website. Good luck

Yes. But, it's better if you have your own blog
