Matt always gives the best answers. I'm with Matt, HUD rules against discrimination are more important today than when they were enacted. I cannot imagine what real estate would be without these rules.

The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire took 146 lives, and started a movement for safer workplaces.

Even into the 1950s, real estate agents would knock on the doors of white families and tell them: I know you're concerned about the value of your property, and I can get your home sold fast at top dollar. You probably aren't thinking about selling right now, but your neighbors down the street just sold their home for a fancy price to a nice colored family. If I can help, let me know.

So, what's the point of "building a valuable community?"
