Agents, how many listing sources do you use?

Had a great discussion during a back-office training session with residential agents last week regarding inventory management. Some agents only watch the MLS, some add a couple hybrid sites (e.g. Zillow, Trulia), some aggregate 5 or more sources on a daily basis, including online, print, informal networking, and structured networking (pocket listings on a password protected blog shared by a small group).
How many inventory sources do you track on a regular basis?

Any luck with Equator? What's the pocket listing you mentioned? Is it available to any agent who registers?

Hi John,
I use the various MLS sources in my area as well as checking out and the newspaper for For-Sale-By-Owner listings.
I feel that other home search web sites are not as accurate or up-to-date as the local MLS systems.
And yes, I agree that networking with other agents is a good avenue to find out about new listings coming on the market.

MLS is the most accurate source of real-time information.

Judi - the pocket listings blog is a private group of agents from several different offices who have similar clients, primarily high net worth individuals buying or selling estate homes. One agent took the initiative to create the blog and she controls who gets access.

Thanks for asking. I am a member of 3 West Coast, Florida boards so I monitor activity there as well as Trulia, Zillow and I registered with pocket listings, but I have not really tapped into that source extensively as of this point.

Love the concept of a pocket listing blog that is password protected! Is the blog only available to agents in that one office or is shared with a select group of agents throughout the area? In terms of listing sources, I focus largely on 3 different MLS because I live in a community sandwiched between Tucson and Santa Cruz MLS. Interestingly, most of the short sales/foreclosures that come on the market in Green Valley aren't listed in the GV/SAH MLS.
