Agents, does trulia sell our information to each other?

Asked by Inna Ivchenko, Encino, CA Mon Jan 7, 2013

I sometimes receive calls or emails:
'Hi, I'm a listing agent of ..... I got a notification that you are interested in it!''
Nope,
Sorry,
I'm not...If I were interested, I'd call you'' ...
I 'm not a paid member...so, i'm curious if you have a lot of those wrong ' leads'

I just got a call from an agent who's listing I "checked in" to and the agents do get notified about that activity. Hope that helps!

well I am relieved you clarified you were jesting, and perhaps I forgot to put on my funny hat this morning....of course, very often there's truth in humor..............but......jokes/sarcasm/humor can be lost when typed on the internet -

I see you deleted that post, so I deleted mine as welll, so as not to confuse anyone reading this thread!

Have a great day!

Jesting my dear. Read all my blogs I only have love for Trulia which is why I send them piles of money. I suppose my sarcasm did not relay well.

Hi Inna,

I can assure you that Trulia doesn't sell any agent or consumer contact information. You can review our Privacy Policy for more details.

Best Wishes,

Hi Inna.

I'm active on Trulia and never received a call like this from another agent.

I HAVE received hundreds of calls from companies pitching lead generation and similar, though. After listening to the canned pitch for a minute or two, I ask them where they got my contact information. It's always the same, surprise.....! TRULIA.

GOOD LUCK.

yep, but you are too patient:) 2 min! I interrupt the script and tell very politely that I'm a wrong girl for them and that even they will call me next week or month with the same unique-once-in-a-life-time-promotion, this will not change a thing:)...

Great observation Inna.
I've always advocated that one must know how leads are generated before their quality can be assessed.
Would I be correct in assuming you clicked to see the detail pages and that action created the contact activity?

I don't know, I got today another call. I asked her: why do you call me, I'm an agent, don't you see it? She said that they get 'leads' from lead router and promised to delete me....it was Century 21.

I haven't heard of Trulia selling information--BUT--I do believe that the agents get notification on the "check-ins". Perhaps that particular agent is doing a good job of following up!
