Loved the day of the dumb phone when people talked to each other. After that http://chooseahomenow.com is not an app but I can't live without the homes near you tab on it's home search page.

dropbox is pretty good to have but all keep phones charged as in real estate seems the journey is a marathon not a sprint.. and in hot Miami..the heat is truly on

Trulia,

I like the other answers. But if I am out and about in a territory that I am not really familiar with I depend upon my Google Maps program to guide me in. It has saved me many times. There are a couple of areas where the program seems to struggle. Is there a way to do a quick update on the system? Let me know if anyone is using the Android program.

I also love the Flashlight app. It really helps when showing homes that don't have the power turned on or if you are trying to find the light switch in a dark garage without killing yourself :)

I'm torn with picking my #1, so I'll share my 2nd and 3rd choices after revealing my #1 app I can't live without. My perspective is from me being an Android user with a Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD (love the battery life) and I don't think I could live without my favorite app: Dropbox

I have folders in DropBox for personal and business categories and they sync across all platforms (3 laptops & 3 desktops I use) including my phone. My MLS PDF forms are loaded into a Real Estate folder and then I have transaction category folders for different sets of transactions (i.e. Buying, Selling, Open House Disclosures, etc.). Active client file folders are there for quick access to all transaction docs.

Included in my DropBox folder is Camera Upload folder that syncs and BACKS UP all images or videos from my phone to DropBox ONLY when I'm in range of WiFi (that cuts down on cellular data plan consumption).

#2 Is my Handy Scanner app which allows me to take photos of any document and then turn them into PDF's. The quality of the PDF is great and not far off a flat bed scanner. I tried a bunch of different scan to PDF apps and this one works very well.

#3 is Karl's Mortgage Calculator which has great payment calculation ability including amortization schedules. Using real figures with Buyers when running through financing alternatives is very important.

For us we have our local NWML APP. Typically the most up to date listing information, and google maps overlay for directions.

Wow - tons for me to check out in this thread! My #1 would have to be Google Maps, however. My worst nightmare is a client in a car behind me and me getting lost.

Dropbox, Waze (real-time traffic map app), and WeChat are my top three. I have a lot of international clients, so WeChat makes communicating with them a lot easier.

My top apps are: Dropbox, Google Maps and I recently discovered cardmunch - which is AWESOME for organizing and utilizing contacts via business cards. Also, couldn't live without my social apps: Gmail, Facebook, Twitter & Pinterest!

Everyone has an address book, but Contactually (http://www.contactually.com/i/ljqdiaza) actually puts your address book to work and earn you money. It monitors all of your email and reminds you to reach out to past clients, current clients, prospectives, anyone really. Great for follow ups and reminders!

Personally - I have an Android phone and the Safe Call List is great. I can program which phone numbers ring through when I am in a situation where I turn my phone off. I can program my kids, husband or VIP client to ring through.
Professionally - Dropbox!!! Need I say more? Pictures, documents, whatever I can share in a jiff !

My broker has a mobile app that we can use to find vacant apartments in any area we are in. It's great because if you take a client out to view an apartment, and they don't like it, you can see if anything is nearby that you could show as well. My company is suppose to be making it available to the public pretty soon.
