I've been where you are. Before I was a Realtor, I was once a home buyer looking for a home. You don't know who to trust or where to go. First, find a Realtor. There are good Realtors in the Prescott area and there are some not so good. Realtors work under a brokerage firm. Just find a list of local real estate brokerages and look them up under the better business bureau. Don't settle for anything less than an "A" rating. Call a brokerage firm and explain to them your intentions in finding a home. They should send you to an agent that can help. Personally interview a few Realtors. You need someone you can trust and someone you can work with. Don't settle for anything less. After all, your Realtor should help you with everything, including; finding a lender, home inspection, finding a CPA, and finding an attorney (if you need one).
I work for Keller Williams, we have an A+ rating with the better business bureau and we are extremely reputable. If I can't help you, Keller Williams can find an agent that can. Best of luck to you.... more
