I would suggest talking to friends, coworkers, or neighbors to see if anyone knows who you can call. If you can get a professional reference from a contractor, or a similar professional, that would also be helpful. Beyond any of that though, you should just call around to local companies to see if you can get a few meeting lined up. That way you can get to know the people and get a better idea of what the project would cost.
You should talk to anybody you know that has an awning installed. The best way to get an honest review is by asking someone with no reason to lie to you. I think that you'll love having an awning. I hate having too much sunlight in my house. Having an awning helps keep the amount of sunlight that gets in down. I think it's almost always a good idea to add an awning to a home.
Tree Tops is great community located in El Jobean. The fees are $125 per month. They have a clubhouse, pool, tennis courts, recreational facility that is included in that fee along with and escrow reserve, ground maintenance
El Jobean is a great community, small but close to everything, they have a park, small bar/restaurant, fishing pier and a great boat ramp that goes right into the Myakka Rive.

The County changed the hurricane protection rules. My house went from 100% protected in their 2010 assessment, to zero percent this year. Have your home inspected and add protection as needed, then apply. I think that the one little window in my front door along with a skylight is what threw me into the no protection clause. This house stood like a rock during hurricane Charlie and now it's zero.
