John - First congrats on the win last night! I have to admit part of the reason I posted this question wasn't necessarily because I thought it to be true, rather to see what the pulse of the city was at that time. Since then, in my day to day showings of properties I found that the availability of conods in the towers directly across the street from the American Airlines Arena immediately shrunk and prices of rentals rose after the Heat signed the big three. The commercial space across the street from the arena that sat empty for nearly two years was also quickly bought. As the article states the buyer of the $4.2 million dollar PH at Marquis (located across the street) said he bought because of the developments proximatey to the arena. I also happen to know one of the big three rented the PH in the building next store. I personally have done two deals and working a third as a direct effect of the Heat hype. It is what it is, I personally think the decision has given the area the jump start it needed. However, I think other factors will play a larger role into the continued growth of downtown.
With all this being said, and knowing you would not use someone like me to help you buy real estate, if you are still looking for qualified agent I would be more than happy to recommend some to you.
Make it a great day - Rachelle... more
