Google maps has this feature and it includes bus stops - I know it's a pain to toggle from site to site, but if Metro access is important to you, it's worth the extra clicks. If you want to be specific in your search, I can set you up with a radius search for each metro you're interested in and send you auto emails daily, weekly or whatever timeframe you prefer. Email me at email@example.com with your criteria and I'll hook you up.... more
Hi Dionysus - there are short sales out there like this one where you cannot trust the listing side of the deal. If they are not being straightforward with you, there is really no way to make the short sale go through for you because nobody on your side has authorization to discuss the short sale with the bank, correct? I had a situation like this before and it did end up going to foreclosure and thank goodness my clients were able to buy it as a bank-owned property. But in order for it to go to foreclosure, the short sale case must be closed by the bank, and then the foreclosure proceedings would begin. The chances are slim at this point because the other side is trying to do something sneaky. You could try reporting it to the listing agent's broker but for the most part, you should probably start looking for the next house and just keep this one as a back-up for you.
Niaz - You, again! Hello. If you contact me directly, I will gladly assist you. The other agent is correct, terms like "moderately" priced are hard for agents. Everyone has their own idea of what that means, same thing for "good" elementary school. My suggestion is a brief description of size and style of home... and then getting pre-qualified by a lender so you understand the payment terms - that is when you'll actually know what you mean by "moderately" priced. Something that's comfortable for you and your family. Once we have that narrowed down, we can focus on a particular area, and then I can provide you with resources to research things that might meet your definition of "good" neighborhood. I can give you the demographic and school reports for the area as they are published by various sources. You can reach me at 703-669-3142 or by email - firstname.lastname@example.org... more
