It would depend on what you are trying to do. If you are trying to take advantage of a loan program that is for first time homebuyers only you would have to speak directly to the lender about what the qualifications of that are and how they would define a first time buyer. Otherwise there is generally not any significance whether it's your first or fiftieth purchase.... more
Hi Kathleen ......... a single home in move in condition for a price point of $100,000.00 is unrealistic in the Daniel Boone school district. Typically single homes selling for less than $100,000.00 are foreclosures that will require repairs. You may want to consider a semi-detached home as your starter home. Have you spoken with a lender to be pre-approved for a mortgage? This is the first step before you start viewing homes. The lender will review your finances and help you determine your purchasing power. Your credit score will also determine if you will qualify for a loan. I am happy to assist you in obtaining the information you need to move forward. I work with many first time home buyers and have been very happy with the lender I recommend ....... she has helped many of my clients achieve home ownership. The Birdsboro zip code 19508 does qualify for USDA rural financing. This option is great for buyers as it allows you to get into a home with no money down and waives the monthly private mortgage insurance. Acceptance is based on income. Feel free to read my reviews on Trulia. Contact me directly on my cell to further discuss your options.

http://crimereports.com -- Crimereports.com is my favorite site. It shows you a map and where the crime occurred on the map. It also gives you a short description and the type of crime (robbery, vehicle theft, etc). You can sort by date of crime and type of crime. It can also show you a map of sex offenders. It also has a great analytics section, which shows you charts of and graphs and crime trends. It is free. You can sign up for alerts to you email address.
Also, check out http://www.neighborhoodscout.com/neighborhoods/crime-rates -- This is a good site you could use if you are moving and want to compare neighborhoods. It gives you a map with different areas and their crime information. You are also able to pick trendy neighborhoods, areas to retire in, etc. You have to subscribe in order to get the most complete information, but it's good basic info....
