As a Real Estate agent, having experience with coop boards, I am not allowed to recommend the best procedure for dealing with hard to understand situations. As a person of action that gets results, a good smack in the face usually works best. Of course I don't mean that literally (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) but legal actions that get the same results seem to work best. Good luck and stay away from coops in the future.... more
If your tenants are reasonable you can work out an arrangement to assist with the following:
brokerage fees for a new rental
checking online and print ads for suitable apts.
