Are you trying to sell by owner? If so, that could be the problem. In the past, Trulia hasn't offered FSBO listings, but they might now that they are merged with Zillow. I bet there are plenty of bugs to be worked out.... more
In my opinion, Wyckoff is in the area that is the best distance from NYC. As others said, there are a few options for trains and buses in Ridgewood, Waldwick, Mahwah, etc. Also, depending on what time you are leaving, the drive in isn't too bad. If you are leaving just before rush hour, the best route is over the GWB and then down either the FDR or West Side Highway. I worked in NYC for 12 years so I know the commute as well as many areas around northern NJ. Let me know if you need anymore information or want me to show you some houses in the area.

I grew up in Wyckoff and my parents still live there. It is a great place to live. There are plenty of local town restaurants and many towns nearby that have great shops and places to eat. It is a very short commute to NYC from Wyckoff but you do not have a congested feel like other neighborhoods closer to the city. There is great shopping at 3 different malls is anywhere from 10-15 min away.
I have done a lot of traveling over the years and I have compared everywhere to Wyckoff and the area. It is definitely a great place to live and raise a family if that is also what you are looking for as well.... more

There are many options on how to solve your concerns. But all will depend on setback guidelines and the survey of your property. I would talk to an installation expert to see if there may be any "Out of the Box" solutions that might be allowed by the town engineer and that are not being considered at this point. I had a very challenging install that was professionally and creatively handled for a buyer I worked with in Oakland last year. The company doing the work was:
