You can buy a co-op with an FHA loan, assuming the co-op board and seller approves it.
This is done using the FHA 203(n) program.

I agree with Debbie ... "Rent to Own" is for furniture not homes! If you can buy now do so. Most sellers will use an option program only when they can't get a regular buyer.
