If someone offers to send you money via Western Union, walk away. Don't even respond to find out more information, it is a scam. That is a very common practice that scammers use. Back in 2010 I applied for a babysitting job online, and the same thing happened to me. The guy told me he would send me my first week's pay in advance and that I should send him back the rest. Well I received the check, deposited it in my bank account, my bank account went negative by an exorbitant amount and was red-lighted for fraud. I had to close my bank account and realized it was a scam. So please do not even give that person the time of day!
Also, I have begun looking more closely at the description of the houses and their contact information. If it isn't a local realtor business, I usually pass it by because then I know it's someone trying to scam. Hope that helps. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
