I am currently a ninth grade student at Greenbrier East High School, but last year I attended Easter Greenbrier Middle school and had an excellent experience. The activities were fun, the teachers were outstanding, and the principals were kind and friendly. Some of the teachers cared more about sports

Some teachers related to the students, which made it easier to learn, while other teachers acted as if they know nothing at all about the subject they were teaching. The school itself was very well kept together, however; the lockers were much too small. All you could fit in the lockers was a small book bag and two textbooks. The hallways were always crowded, it was like rush hour in New York in the halls. There are two lunch lines, but they were always too long. Read less

Eastern is an excellent school! Each student is looked after with great care and consideration. The parent involvement at the school is also fantastic. I attended this school last year. Although there were a few good teachers and faculty, I had an overall bad experience there. The principals were unintelligent, and we were encouraged (actually told) to act like sheep while they, 'the shepherds', guided us in how to act and follow rules. Indeed,I felt

I attended EGJHS and I hated it. I had a few very good teachers, though most have retired or moved to different schools by now. The administration is unfair and biased, and most teachers are unable to control their classrooms. Most classrooms were pure pandomonium throughout the year. Teachers are

Homework was heavy, and the teachers were poor. A student that is not interested in learning is not likely to succeed. I took honors classes while enrolled so I could have better teachers and learning opportunities, but those programs are no longer in use. It is sufficient to say that if your child is not a natural learner, send them to another school. Read less

My child goes to this school and she is miserable there. That school has no organization, the students probably have more of an idea of what id going on then the staff does. If you send your children here they need to be able to teach themselves the lessons. Its this simple the staff just doesn't care

I have had two children in this school and can honestly say that between them they had maybe 3-4 excellent teaches. This school is definately for self-learners. If your child can't learn on their own, they will not succeed and most of the teachers won't bother to help them.

I would not send my dog to Eastern Greenbrier jr. High! I hate that two of my children have had to suffer being there! For anyone moving into the area with children 13-15, I would very strongly suggest they NOT look to send their children to this school! The administrators are pure idiots. There is NO

One teacher there, in fact, knowing the school is so poor, has her children at another school in the county. This should tell anyone something about how BAD this school is. Other parents have pulled their children out tho home school them. County administrators would have one believe this is a great school. They lie through their teeth big time!
