The school's focus is on college prep and not 'jock' prep. If you

High school academics aren't anywhere near the level of the nearby public high school, Huntington High. The classes are easy for brighter students, and teachers have a mentality of suspecting non-conformity as the signs of a 'troublesome' child. My daughter consistently got into trouble for writing

I personally watched her write an essay and she brought it back home with an F circled on top with the word 'plagiarism' beside it, in the teacher's handwriting. This has happened here several times, and the schools' narrow-minded methods and selective discipline, combined with the lack of extracurricular opportunities and a confined, lack-luster curriculum finally encouraged us to pull our children out. Our oldest daughter has done extremely well at Huntington High and is very happy. Grace was a great, stifling disappointment. Read less
