Read what parents are saying about St. Joan Antida High School5 Stars!! My daughter love the school. Great teachers!!! If your daughter is serious about her education, her experience will be wonderful. Great communication with the staff. Excellent School!
Posted by a parent on 8/28/2019Saint Joan antida is the worst school you can ever send your daughter. The teachers do not care about your child's education they don't try to help you with homework there always "busy" in a meeting. I would never recommend sending any student to SJA it's basically a jail. The lunch provided is horrible. The English teachers dont give you the time of day and always enter grades late. There's no reason for teachers at SJA to enter grades late since the school is so small. Your child will never get the high school experience ever child wants to experience by attending SJA. They have no sports, they promise you the world when you come in and you walk out with nothing. I didn't learn anything new at this school it's all 7th grade work they call themselves an IB school but it's absolutely horrible and disgusting they have huge bugs the bathrooms are never clean. Might as well be a public school.
Posted by a student on 8/16/2015One of the worst schools I have ever attended in my life. Completely ruined my high school experience certain students where treated bbetter then others and given more choices then others school was full of bugs any kind of bugs you can think of they were there. The school was falling apart on top of students terrible school would not recommend you sending your daughter here
Posted by a student on 4/7/2015St. Joan Antida High School has made a complete turn-around and is truly empowering young women to take the world by storm. There is a new International Baccalaureate Curriculum. Art and Music have been restored to the curriculum. There is a complete compliment on Engineering classes. Students who graduate from St. Joan Antida High School and get in to MSOE are accepted for the cost of the high school tuition. This is more than $25,000 off of MSOE's tuition. The school has corrected its attendance and discipline problems and students who are disorderly are dealt with in a swift and appropriate manner. Teachers are supported to take risks and students are pushed to work beyond what they believe they can do. A new academic intervention program has also been put into place that is designed to bring students to math proficiency in four years. Last year 20 girls went from being 4th and 5th grade math proficient to being ready for Algebra in this program. SJA is in a rebirth and it is exciting to be part of this transformation. Come see us for yourself!!! Call us at 414-272-8423 to schedule a tour! I know our admissions people would love to take your call!
Posted by a teacher on 2/20/2014It's a good school but there are.....distractions. Some of the girls are very rough around the edges but as long as you stick with the right crowd you'll be fine. My junior year I transferred to another school and I hated it, after that I realized how much I actually appreciate this school. The uniforms are sort of expensive and they don't really accommodate the school bus for every student in the afternoon. At this school I can focus on my academics and excel .

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI used to go to this school when i was 9/12 i am now 14, It's horrible i never got the proper education i needed and deserved i didn't know how to count money, proper spelling, cursive. The teachers are bad the only teacher i remember being good LEFT because the students were so rude and mean to her. The students got into fights 24/7 and were disrespectful asf. The bullying was insane also my brother is autistic and he always got bullied because he obv stood out.. they did nothing, I got bullied.. they did nothing even when i would tell them. Overall don't go to this school.Other Review9mo ago - Tamarack Waldorf School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you would have told me a year a few months ago that this is how I would rate Tamarack, I would have called you a liar. The school bold face lies when they say they support the diversity of their student body. They have protected teachers who have physically put their hands on children. The atmosphere at Tamarack is heavy and hard. Going to school should not be difficult. The pressure put on parents at this school is immense. No busing, lunches have to come from home (within their "healthy" criteria). The community there is only shallow. Professionalism is rare. Communication between one of my children's teachers and families did not exist. It was blind trust. The number of unsupported neurodivergent children at TWS, is large. There is a special education teacher but that doesn't matter if the main teacher and assistant do not have teacher training. When my family started at TWS, there was a family who was pushed out because of their kindergartner's neurodivergence. I thought, that won't happen to us. It did. We received a letter at 7am on a Saturday morning after I spent four weeks in class, supporting my child, while he awaited the results of a neuro-psychological assessment for ADHD. WHO KICKS OUT A 6 YEAR OLD WHILE THEY ARE AWAITING A PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION? Teachers without certifications. Which means DPI doesn't have any oversight for these teachers. I was told that "Children like my child go somewhere else." School choice has been championed but who is the choice for? Neurotypical children or children who can mask. That school shames families for their children's neurotype, not providing any support or even referring families to outside resources.Faculty at the school knowing one teacher can get out of control with children, so they keep an eye on him.An administrator who did not document this same teacher putting his hands on my child after I demanded it. The school does not pay a living wage. I was a champion for the school and volunteered countless hours there. We lost almost our entire community when we were kicked out.We did not realize how bad it was until we left. We are now in a school where the teachers and faculty are EXCITED to teach. The energy in the building is light and happy. Learning does not have to be heavy and difficult.Parent Review7mo ago - St. Marcus Lutheran School
