WCA is ultimately a good school, yet suffers from the same problems that any school will that draws its students from the inner city. The biggest problem at WCA is not the teachers or the administration, but rather the behavior of some students and lack of productive parental involvement. Even with ...  Read more

This school is a life saver for Milwaukee's youth. Students from the extreme north side of Milwaukee take a very long bus ride just to come to WCA! One student said that he could have gone to a school a block away, but he would not have received the education he gets at WCA. Seniors have a great resource ...  Read more

There are many issues with this school that defies believabilty. I only hope the new administration that takes over can bring the school back to the place where it was in 2001 when my first child attended. Now, I fear to put my other children in the school because the inequality of the way students ...  Read more

I think the quality of education has increased at WCA in the past three years. My child is able to take AP classes and prepare for college successfully because of the small class sizes. The teachers are always willing to help the students before or after school and do whatever necessary to help them ...  Read more

I enjoy working at WCA. The student population is very diverse and makes for an excellent learning environment. The class sizes are small, so I am often able to work with my students individually and I believe this helps them greatly. I always feel safe at my job and feel positive while here.

I suggest parents to send their students to WCA. My child has noticed great changes in the past couple years and is very happy there. The small class sizes are great for kids who need more help and guidance for college. It's a safe school and my child will stay at WCA until he graduates.

Even though it is a new school, the school has made a big progress in terms of almost anything especially for the last two years. It has a very nice family environment and absolutely safe. The curriculum is challenging and the teachers go extra miles to teach their subjects. It is a one greatest school ...  Read more

WCA offers students an excellent education experience in the classroom. Most of the students are motivated and concerned with their success. Small class sizes allow teachers to help students on a more individual level. However, the school is a little unorganized and more extracurriular activities would ...  Read more

In regards to cancelling the transportation, it is not as easy of a decision as some might think it is. Every year, the school is given money based on student numbers. This is true for all schools. Since WCA is a non-instrumentality charter school, MPS only gives WCA a percentage of the money that is ...  Read more
