Students who go to Shabazz are students that have failed the 4 traditional high schools, or the school have failed them. Shabazz is an Alternative School for students not making it at the larger, traditional schools. 68% of students enrolled were truant b4 coming to Shabazz. 97% of students graduate. * In 2008-2009 Wisconsin used the Wisconsin Knowledge and Concepts Examination - Criterion-Referenced Tests (WKCE-CRT) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 in math and reading, and in grades 4, 8 and 10 in language arts, science and social studies. The WKCE-CRT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Wisconsin. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.
