I am currently a Junior at Edgewood and my sister and brother both have graduated from Edgewood having B-A averages. My sister currently got the opportunity to attend a high-end photography school in Paris, my brother runs track at a small D-3 college, proving that even though attending a smaller school
... Read more it doesnt limit your athletic goals. (9 sport teams in 2009 winning the conference) Edgewood has awesome clubs. About 98 percent of the students are currently in a club, and the diversity issue theres now a club where we celebrate diversity!! Edgewood isnt an Elite school, its something that cant be explained it words. Many students coming out of Edgewood, have enough college credits to skip the freshman 'basic classes' and graduate in 3 years!! so when being asked would you rather go to edgewood or a public school like middleton or west. by a long shot its edgewood Read less

Sorry to hear about your frustrations but I find this difficult to believe. Especially since Edgewood is a college prep high school. I have a niece that goes to Edgewood. She too is a Straight 'A' students. Her Teachers recognized her ability and requested she complete Algebra during the summer
... Read more of her 7th & 8th grade year so she could start High school math in the beginning of her 8th grade year. I have spoken with many students both past and present and they love(ed) Edgewood. My husband and I can only dream about our kids attending Edgewood. But it's not in our financial future. ... Read more was worth the struggle, financially, to send my child to Edgewood, but I am looking again at Open Enrollment or even moving to a better Madison area district. My child is not challenged in most classes. I've had to call the guidance counselor 2-3 times to get an answer. Teams did not talk about problems that I was told they would talk about. Edgewood really is not as great as they promote it to be. I think it is a GOOD school. It is not a great school. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
