several after school programs have been cut back or cut completely (except for sports, Freedom now offers Soccer). For instance, the community voted against building a new theater (the current one seats about 500- which is the size of a small lecture hall). Therefore, the drama club must perform plays and musicals in the gym, no theater or dance classes are offered, and band and choir concerts are performed at local churches or at other school theaters. All in all, Freedom High School is an 'ok' school when it really could be a 'great' school - I'd blame the community, not the school board. Read less

Honestly, as a student of this school, I find that the overall quality of the teachers and the rest of the staff is extremely low. The music and arts programs always come second to the football, wrestling, and other sports and activities.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School
"Extended day" programs where the school day is extended before and after school to accommodate working parents. These programs should not be confused with common after school clubs or athletic activities.
Gifted and Talented

Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
