I am currently a student at CHS, and for being a mere freshman, I love it. But of course, that's me focusing on the good points. I completely agree that the district shouldn't be so naive about music. They should make sure that every student MUST have at least two music credits to graduate. Especially

They've done a great job so far, and I think the district should look at how many people are involved in the music programs. Over 50% of the student body. I am not a parent of a Cambridge student, but I was a student there myself, I agree fully with the statement which was provided before mine. I intend to help the music department in the future at this school, they should no longer be the underdogs in this district. It is rediculous what those teachers

In conclusion I would hope that the situation would only get better, there is no reason why the football team should get new everything every year, while the music department suffers... music has been proven to enhance academics, so why is it being depleeted? In my opinion this particular school lacks in self confidence of the students, teachers will favor certain students and ignore the ones that are always 'in trouble' as they like to put it. Music is a popular passion too for a lot of students but if there is a money problem it is the first to have to be sacraficed besides the art department. Also cheerleading is a sport and the girls shouldn't have to pay out of their own pocket for the uniforms the school should pay for them. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
