... Read more in my class were a mixture of socioeconomic status and background, but I experienced very few cliques even though I would have been classified on the lower end of the scale. I was very disappointed when my family's finances became too tight to continue attending RCS. Years later, after earning my masters degree in teaching, I had the honor of returning to RCS to teach in the elementary school. Once again, I am thankful for the Godly environment and encouraging atmosphere. The staff have a genuine heart for the Lord and training students up according His Word. Read less

RCS is, at least, excellent! My 5 kids attend pre-K through 9th grade. The teachers are encouraging, desiring communication with us, and proclaiming Christians. This was a very difficult school to attend. Heavy workload, average teachers who were very apathetic towards me. Typical sports programs, baseball, soccer, basketball, no football however. Athletes were treated very well by teachers, often times would miss class for games and would be given very long

I graduated from this school recently and I thought that I got a great, Bible-based, and academically challenging education. The teachers are so supportive and knowledgeable in their subject areas. They have a wide variety of extra-curricular activities. There is a huge level of parental involvement.

A very good school with high levels of acheivement and has very highly motivated students as well as teachers. Because of it being a small private school, students will often join public school sports teams if Riverside doesn't have a team.

... Read more unrealistic workloads. I was taught well enough in all subjects . The people were one major problem. All are very socially dependent. The ones with money have power over the other students. Many groups formed and they choose a few students to ridicule relentlessy. No one will stop and displine these students and pretend it doesn't happen. This was a personal reason for leaving. The school has few extracurriculars outside of sports. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
