While families often move a child to the public school in their neighborhood for middle school school we will have all 3 of ours complete the ECS middle school program. This is a time when they are really starting to make their own decisions about who to spend time with and how to spend it. ... Read more school board. ECS has posted top SAT scores year after year, and yet continues to be one of the most reasonably priced private schools in our area. ECS does fundraising, however the expectation is much lower than that of other private schools in our area. ECS has a thriving parent community, and exceptional teachers. ECS has many programs and extracurricular activities such as band, choir, Worship team (traditional band alternative)sports, chess club, service and leadership development through 'DEEP' program, math lab, computer, art, drama and other enrichment programs. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School

Vocation/Technical Curriculum
Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
