And amazing school and experience. I truly couldn't be happier. I am so grateful my son can learn and grow here, it is a place I feel very safe and comfortable sending my son to.

This school has an approach that focuses on each child as an individual.

The staff is okay, and in some cases great, but the administration is terrible. I've also seen cases of verbal abuse in front of children and families to the staff. There is no "management" to speak of and I've heard other parents complain. Many of the staff do heroic work but the management is terrible. It's no surprise people keep quitting, which is a disaster for a child care center.

The administration is completely incompetent, I have personally witnessed one of the preschool teachers being verbally abusive to multiple children on multiple occasions, they got rid of the best preschool teacher, there's no playground for older kids, and overall it's not someplace I would have put my child if we had any choice. I cannot wait to be done with TI and neither can my child who has been bullied by a teacher consistently. I will NOT be sending any other children here.

Turtle Island is outstanding. There are several playgrounds on the premises. The playgrounds are separated based on children's ages. They also have an indoor playground called the Savannah for when the weather is not so great. Two teachers are assigned to each classroom. The substitute teachers that oversee lunch breaks and curriculum planning breaks for the primary teachers are the same so your child consistently sees the same people each day. The lessons children are taught each day are posted. My daughter has blossomed tremendously since starting at TI. The classrooms are not overcrowded. There are state regulations for teacher/student ratios based on a child's age and Turtle Island always maintains this ratio whether in the classroom or outside on the playgrounds. We consistently get updates by e-mail from the administration. Turtle Island is always looking for ways to improve and the administration is receptive to your ideas.
