Two students and 14 years, so far, we ve seen the school grow. Highland is well on their way of implementing their strategic plan as can be seen by the massive additions of new academic buildings. Highland s headmaster, Mr. Berg, has a unique perspective to guide Highland through this process.

We used to think of Highland as a college preparatory school. We no longer think so. The students get into college but the college graduation rate is more interesting. Sports and field studies (hikes) are the priorities. Academics is dead last no matter how the school advertises to the contrary.

High teacher attrition does not seem to bother the administration. Leadership is extremely poor. Cliques are bad enough in high school; it is ridiculous when the administration plays favorites. Some teachers grade 'creatively' so their pets get the best grades. The Prefect Board is a joke. We have to elect an equal number of boys and girls. Dumb idea! Highland is sinking fast. Too bad the 'brains' in charge do not get it. Read less
