Cape Henry is an excellent school. The staff, administration and all support personnel are devoted to give the students an awesome, well-rounded education experience. Their science and tech building is unmatched and the Nexus program is extrodinary.

Cape Henry is a top-notch school! I believe wholeheartedly in the mission of this school-- it has truly emphasized the values we are teaching our children at home. Truly, an absolutely classless sports program based on typical private school recruiting. If you want your child to learn sportsmanship and how to play a chosen sport, there are many other private schools in the area that should be viewed.

Absolutely the best environment for students! An involved faculty and staff, along with a strong commitment to the honor code, create an atmosphere that stimulates learning, both academically and personally. A wonderful experience for students and their families.

Advanced Placement

AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.

Before/After School

"Extended day" programs where the school day is extended before and after school to accommodate working parents. These programs should not be confused with common after school clubs or athletic activities.

Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.

Special Education Classes

A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.

Adult Education Classes

Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.

English as Second Language

English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
