Read more class. the problem is though is the surrounding neighborhoods are where the 'privlidged' kids come from. they live in million dollar houses and never let you forget it. theres also some racial barriers that need to be broken down. but other then that, and it being a little crowded at times, ita a good school. Robious Middle uses the best research-based educational practices and has a thoughtful, caring, and engaging staff - from the custodians and secretaries to the teachers and principal. RMS is a very nice school academically; the teachers are engaging and helpful, and will do anything to help students succeed. One of my teachers last year even offered to come early to school just so that students could make up quizzes. The cafeteria is very nice, though a bit cramped, but the food

The only thing I would feel is important to complain about is that the students come mostly from priveliged backgrounds, or classier suburban neighborhoods, so many of the upperclassish children think highly of themselves and sort of treat other children like they're less worthy. The best way to get over this is to just ignore them and not hang out with them unless you have a project with them. Read less

The 'We are crew- not passengers' mentality the kids have engaged in really promotes active participation and awareness that this is their education. RMS really promotes a supporting environment for those crazy ealy teen years.

Our daughter appreciates the level of responsibility that the teachers and staff expect. 'They don't treat us like little kids.' This leads to more independence; an 'I can do it myself' attitude.

ost of the teachers are very helpful and will do alot to help a student, though there are 1 or 2 bad apples.... the cafeteria is high quality, one of the best in the area. The administration this year has improved dramatically, and the school is just gettiing better. THe sports teams are OK.

Robious Middle has an excellent teaching staff who treats each student individually. Many teachers utilize a variety of teaching methods. They are a very enthusiastic group! The PTA is also supportive to the school.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
