My son has attended Henderson for 3 yrs (1st - 3rd). He has had wonderful teachers for 2 of those years. Communication between teachers and myself was great because I made the effort to stay informed. I am not a fan of the 'new math', I feel students aren't given permission to learn in a way that
... Read more works for them. My son is in the gifted program and I am very pleased with it. Disappointed in the lack of extracurriculars but it seems Henderson is making an effort to improve. I am impressed so far with our new principal. I think she will help bring some much needed change. There seems to be a problem with consistency in the curriculum, I often feel that parents are not kept well informed as to what the students are supposed to be doing. Read less

The teachers and office staff really care about the children and I always feel that my children are learning in a caring and safe environment. Excellent communication between teachers and parents.

My child attended Kindergarten in 2006-2007. We are very disappointed. Our child was harrassed and bullied by another student while the teacher could not catch it. We just finished our second year at Henderson and love the school. The only drawback is the lack of after-school activities available to the students. I would like to clear one thing up though- The student to teacher ratio says 16.6 to 1. This is not accurate at all. My son had 33 in his class last
