I was a student of 9 years at this school (half-day pre-k all the way to 6th grade) . Students were extremely rude, bullied me everyday, principals refused my help and aided the bullies and made me apologize for something I didn’t do. Principals (husband and wife) treat everyone poorly. From my viewing, whoever stepped into her office left crying uncontrollably. My visits left me traumatized, and made me throw up in fear whenever I would be called down even if it was just to be told if my parents were not going to be able to pick me on time. Academically, I thought I excelled, but unfortunately that was another case when I went to a new school. I was shown my grade level on test and it showed me on 5 grade level on every major subject (7th grade at the time). It took me extremely long to catch up and be on level. In class teachers were not very adaptable for different types of learners, and often were lazy teaching and just made us write down answers from their textbook. I would not recommend this school to anyone, because i would not want people to suffer through the pain and trauma I went through.

We enrolled our 2 children at American Heritage=South Jordan (Anthem Prep) 3 years ago after seeing the direction public schools were continuing we knew we needed to give our children a better educational opportunity. We looked at several schools and then entered American Heritage and were immediately impressed with the atmosphere and the Yorgason's! It's a smaller school with smaller class sizes that allow our children to receive dedicated and more one on one instruction and they don't get lost in the shuffle. The Yorgason's have built a terrific well rounded educational system built upon centuries of proven instructional materials and ideas. The classical education of the Socratic method, Judeo-Christian based learning, Saxon math, etc. Our children have a greater understanding of the fundamentals of education, namely reading, writing and arithmetic's than they ever had before. Added to this is a growing love and talent for art, music, literature and history. I can't recommend American Heritage, now Anthem Prep more highly!

This school does a great job with the resources available. Tuition is reasonable and the amenities are above average. Small class sizes of 10-15 in most of the pre-k through 5th-grade classes. The high school-age classes are extremely small and can range from 5-10 as well. High school-age enrollment is small and I believe when children get older they want more diversity and opportunity which is why a lot of kids leave as they get older. The faculty are all phenomenal and are very, very committed to the children and the quality of their education. Our child has excelled socially at this school and her academics are all above average or excellent. Also, the school does a great job celebrating the holidays throughout the year with activities and performances.

This school has been incredible for my children. They love their classes, teachers and friends and it has helped them both in so many ways. They have both been at this school since Pre-K/Kindergarten, and it is such a great sense of community and support. All the teachers know all the kids, no matter what grade they are in and care about their happiness and growth. It gives me peace of mind knowing that they are in a loving, supportive environment where teachers care about academic progress and also student's mental and emotional health. I love that they can be in an environment with almost no bullying where they feel at home and safe. This school has greatly helped both of them with their different issues - learning disability and behavior problems. I also am really happy with them learning through the Saxon method and how advanced their math program, is, along with fun Friday elective classes like animation and lego engineering and hip hop dance. Both of my children are thriving at this school and I love being able to talk to their teachers often and their willingness to work with us and our children to do what is best for them.

This school is the best school I know. My kids have been in this school for 7 years. The teachers are enthusiastic and are very willing to try and help the kids learn, great experience, safe and clean environment, great curriculum, our kid loves attending AHSJ.
