I have had 2 children attend Salt Lake Lutheran High over the past 8 years and am getting ready to enroll 2 more as they graduate over the next 2 years from Jr. high. ... Read more Everyone is excepted for who they are. The classes are challenging and have prepared both of my older children to be successful in college and in their young adult life. Parents are involved and staff members genuinely care about each and every student. This school is unique. It does not compete with the larger private schools and is not designed too. This school allowed my son and daughter to graduate from Harvard and Princeton, and they have become extremely successful. They got very high SAT Scores also.

As a Lutheran High graduate, I can vouch for the school's college prep program. While I do wish I would have had more AP opportunities, the classes I took were probably equivalent to public school honors' courses and more than adequately prepared me for university coursework. We have a wonderful staff and teachers that have many years of experience and Masters Degrees in Education. We have several extra curricular opportunities that include sports, clubs, drama and yearbook, just to name a few. We have a 'Parents Group' that helps with fundraising and many other activities. Salt Lake Lutheran High is a place to educate children abut conformity and distorted Christianity. They few if any college prep courses. I would not recommend anyone who plans on continuing their education in college to attend this school.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
