Read what parents are saying about West AcademyI like the fact that West Academy provides one-on-one classroom instruction for students in order to ensure that they are academically successful. After my children spent several years at one of the 4 largest private schools in Tarrant County, they transferred to West Academy because I felt that they were not being prepared for college to the extent that they should have been during their high school years. Now, one is consistently on the Dean's list in Honors College at a large 4 year University and the other is on his way to the same university next year. I cannot begin to tell others how great the teachers and administrators are at West Academy.
Posted by a parent on 5/30/2013My teen became troubled at the beginning of her 9th grade year. She was skipping class, the teachers did not know who she was, noone on campus knew where she was during lunch etc. Thank God for West Academy's teachers and administration. Now, her self esteem has increased, they have figured out her educational weaknesses and have provided an ample amount of time to concentrate on that particular subject, the student counseling is great, they monitor students very closely, the tuition plan is affordable and they work with you, they assist with college prep, they really care about the kids. My child's behavior has improved, her grades are soaring and she has learned respect. This is the best school for any teenager. The staff, the location, the tuition, the curriculum and the overall approach to helping our kids are GREAT.She is a 10th grader and talking about college :-)

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageExcellent. As a volunteer from the community, I always feel welcomed and appreciated. The child I get to mentor seems to be very proud of her school and likes her teachers and the administration. I think Westcliff is a too-often overlooked gem of a school.Other Review5y ago - Alice D Contreras

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school I wanted my child to be in was full so I resorted to Alice D because I saw potential, worst mistake ever! The teachers are rude and always in a bad mood. They treat the kids terribly. My son was hit every day at school even after talking to the teacher and principal. I had a child give me the middle finger in the pick up line and nothing was ever done. Please do not bring your kids to this school. My son did learn some things but he always came home with a scratch or a bruise.Parent Review2y ago - Seminary Hills Park Elementary School
