The peer pressure is positive and the chance to succeed in sports, student council, and other self-esteem building organizations are avaialable for all students. The classroom student size is smaller than average, and with no distruptive discipline problems true learning for a full period occurs daily/hourly. This shool is very, very cliquish. The parent envolvment are the parents that belong to this cliquic and only make decision for their kids or the friends kids. The academics- first they need new christain books to teach out of and then instead of lowering the standerd so kids can pass they need to demand

I have a hard time believing that this school is so wonderful. My children attended WCS for many years and left last year with 40 or more other kids. We feel like this school will not change as long as the cliques are not eliminated. The parents/teachers are the cliques, not the students themselves.
... Read more I think it is sad that as long as you are a part of WCS you are liked, but as soon as you show any sort of individualality you are shunned. This saddens me and it saddened my children. We are glad to have left WCS, because let's face it, that is not a Christian attitude to have. Shouldn't we, as Christians, teach our childen to stand out in a world that expects them to fit in. This school is a blessing to the Wichita Falls community! I have 2 children that attend WCS. One is at the elementary and one in junior high. The education that both my children are receiving is helping them prepare for the future on so many levels. I am impressed with the direction the new Superintendent

I am a parent of two WCS children and this year's change in administration has been a tremendous downfall for the school. The school board is very narrow minded, the new Superintendent is very unnaproachable, and other administrators seem to be lost without true leadership. Academics have declined

There is no enthusiasm in chapel services with lack of praise to our Lord and I would not recommend this school as we are preparing to pull our children out. ... Read more he loves it as well. Yes, it's Board is comprised of Church of Christ members but the school does not teach a denominational doctrine. Because of it's commitment to be what God has called it to be, the school has gone through some needed changes. We would recommend this school to anyone. Read less

I have a High School and Elementary Student. I am very pleased with the education my children are getting, especially at the HS level. The recent change in Administration is a positive move for the WCS. WCS allows my kids to compete in athletics in a safe and uplifting environment.

AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School
