I choose to go to Van even though i live out of district because it is that good! I would not want to call my self the alumni of any other school. If anyone at Van does not succeed it is not the fault of the school... The teachers are always showing us our potential! I have made every effort to work as a team for the success of my child, and I feel my childs success is not important to them, it's swim or sink. I know my calling or e-mailing

this school puts kids in 'boxes' and doesn't strive to get all of the kids to work hard to do their best. They try to teach to all kids the same way. The children are not individuals. They are just another child. The personalities of each child should be considered more by all teachers and

Van is a great school. Most of the teachers really care about the school, and they teach us well. They prepare us for the TAKS wonderfully. Because of my history teacher, I only missed one question on the Social Studies TAKS, and I have friends that didn't miss any. The teachers here equip us with knowledge

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
