Both of my children go to Wise and have enjoyed their time there. Mrs. Miller (2nd grade) is absolutely wonderful! My son is ADHD and this is the first year I feel he had a teacherwho really understood him and his needs. He got sraight A's this year and I think it has alot to do with the wonderful teacher

Wise Elem. has a new principal and if she stays I think the school will turn around on some old issues it had. Ms. Aydelott and Ms. Parkhill are wonderful. I have a handicapped child and they are doing a great job with him. Right now handicapped children this age have nothing to do. A playground activities

I love Wise Elementry. I absolutely love Ms. Williams (kinder) teacher. My son was not allowed to go to pre-k because we where over the income lever allowed. So he was behind when he went to kinder. I moved and had to tranfer him to her class. He went from nothing to knowing tons of stuff in only 6 weeks.

I think that there should be more understandning teachers and more things for the children to do. I haave not yet seen my child bring home anything from art class that showed his abilities in that class. His teacher this year and last had no understanding of needs, and didn't make class time interesting
... Read more and fun. If it is fun and interesting the students may be more inclined to participate rather than just do another worksheet. Also how can parents be involved if they are not asked. They need more roundness in their classes, teach more on real things not years ago, we don't use those today. Read less

This is my second go round with elementary schools, I am a 2nd generation Chapel Hillian, my 22 yr old is a 3rd generation and her children will also go to Chapel Hill. I love this school, always have, the teachers actually care about student advancement and academic understanding not just their TASS

Teachers actually help students who may be struggling to find alternatives within the school to assist getting them on level. Chapel Hill School District gets an A+ in my book. All grade levels. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
