I have a freshman currently attending and 4 older kids that have graduated from REL over the past 7 years. I do wish the safety and security of the campus was better, but there have been no unusual 'attacks' here. It's just so spread out and too many outside doors for it to be effeceintly secured.

Communication between the parents and teachers is pretty good. I have always had my emails answered within 1 day and some will even call if neccessary. As far as the athletic teams, they are all very competitive. Lee offers many ways for students to be involved, but can be a bit clickish. Parking lot traffic needs a lot of help. Read less

Robert E Lee is a great school with many extracurricular activities for anyone. The band program is one of the best in east texas. Consistently earning division 1 ratings. Lee also offers a challenging AP and IB program. The teachers are great. Though there are those who aren't so great. it takes

My two daughters have had some good teachers but unfortunately more bad than good. There seems to be no teacher accountability. I can say that there are a lot of extracurricular activities. However, it is very difficult for parents to get involved.

the only way a student will 'fall through the cracks' here is if they don't find some organization to be involved in (a.k.a. they want to fall through the cracks). The same goes for academic motivation - there are plenty of things to motivate students - eligibility, college preference, scholarships,

Lee has one of, if not the best, science programs in the state and a number of other excellent teachers. The band and tennis team are a joy to participate in and from what I can tell the same goes for all the other extracurriculars as well. All in all this is an excellent, though woefully underfunded, school and I wouldn't choose to attend anywhere else. (Note: principle just left.) Read less

Great school for the average middle of the road student. Have been completely unsatisfied with the 504 program and the lack of proficiency of the staff in these matters. My rating is based on experience with 504 only.

Unfortunately, this school, as so many others, is lacking in ability to supervise and the teachers' motiviation to stay on top of things. If your student is a naturally good student and doesn't need much guidance or support, they will do well in REL. However, if they are not naturally gifted and motivated

In my opinion, teacher apathy directly effects the quality of the academic program at REL. I am unfamiliar with the level of parent involvement on the REL Campus. Every time I found a need to communicate and/or appear on campus, it was as an individual. Read less
