... Read more may have. The school principal is highly visible and is in the halls between periods talking with the students and assisting in any way he is needed. I would recommend to prospective parents that they visit the school and learn of the college courses that are offered. To the best of my recollection a student can earn up to 15 college hours their junior year and up to 13 hours their senior year. If the student successfully passes the classes we have found that the hours transfer to most texas colleges and universities including Texas,A&M,Texas Tech and others. Read less

I am not a parent but a student of Tola. It is always hard to go to a new school. There is always cliches and Tolar is no differnt. But I love my class to the fullest and would stand beside them in any choice they made, they are all wonderful people. But the first while you are going there you gotta
... Read more have grit to last, or they will eat you alive. They can be rude, but normally they are pretty easy going. If you are a strong person Tolar is for you. If not look else where. Read less

Tolar school is a wonderful school, since Mr.Rome the new principal stepped in it has been excellent. The teachers are good they care about the kids, and it all depends on how the student acts towards the principal and the teachers. My kids are treated with great respect.

My family and I moved here 2 yrs ago this October, and I found that Tolar school is not what I expected. My children have been treated so bad that they are asking to go to another school. Their bus driver is rude, the junior high teachers have no business teaching. I do not appreciate one teacher calling

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School
"Extended day" programs where the school day is extended before and after school to accommodate working parents. These programs should not be confused with common after school clubs or athletic activities.

leadership ability, the ability to direct individuals or groups to a common decision or action;
visual and performing arts, special talents in visual art, music, dance, drama, or other related studies;
psychomotor ability, such as practical, spatial, mechanical, and physical skills.
Vocation/Technical Curriculum
Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
