My child enjoys going to Travis. There are very good, concerned teachers, and the academics are above average . My child is active in Mathcounts, band and theatre arts and loves it! It is a racially unbalanced school, but my child loves it there. I think the district needs to rethink how attendance

I have three kids at Travis they have done wonderfully. The administration is positive, and the teachers care about kids. We have had a really good experience at Travis. Travis recieved 3 Gold Acknowledgements from TEA this year because of their TAKS scores. Travis is a great place!

Travis Middle School has gone downhill since they've had their new principle Eddy Macnamara. Do not send your kids here. All but few of the good teachers they had are gone, and thriving students are lacking. Discipline is a lost cause.

This year Travis sent a Math Counts Team to the State of Texas Mathcounts Competition, three Odyssey Of the Minds Teams to State, had the Spelling Bee Champ, Placed first in the Texas Mathematics League Competition, won

In addition to academics, Travis has an outstanding fine arts department, and District winning athletic program. It's a great place. I have two children there. I chose to transfer my children there after visiting the other two schools in town. The faculty is very supportive, and caring. The school leadership takes time to get to know each child, and is very interested in each and every child's academic success.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
