I have had children going to Roth for 4 years now and overall it is a great school. I have been very blessed to have wonderful teachers for all three of my children. The assistant principal is absolutely wonderful. She is very hands on with the children and extremely helpful resolving any issues.
... Read more The one thing that disheartens me time and time again is to see how the lunchroom is dealt with. Several of the people 'helping' the children have horrible attitudes and act like drill sergeants. I know moms that choose not to have lunch with their children because of witnessing it. I can understand that a cafeteria full of children can be overwhelming but there is NO excuse for being so rude to children. I have had lunch with nieces/nephews at surrounding Elementary schools and the lunch atmosphere is extremely different than at Roth. Please work on improving. Read less

... Read more child's education. A maddening characteristic -- teaching at the learning rate of the slowest students. The district can do far better. Also, they need to stop the near-continuous fund raising. Trim the bloated district administration and there will be enough money to run the schools. Read less

Both of my children have attended Roth and Im happy to say that they are finished. The principal, asst. principal and teacher turnover rates are huge and the parents are expected to do most of the teaching, since the students and teachers are so overwhelmed with expectations from Klein School District.
... Read more The teachers freely use cell phones during school hours and surf the internet on a regular basis. Roth doesn't offer computer classes to prepare the students for junior high expectations. There is not a playground for kids over 1st grade, so they have recess on the concrete parking lot. I think that Roth elementary school is a very nice, homely enviroment for my kids, except for one thing. I think they need to think of the kids being dropped off early in the morning. Teachers arrive at 7:50 and doors open, to my understanding, at 7:40. There is no supervision for those kids whose

Roth is an exemplary school with great attention to the students. My daughter has gone to Roth for 4 years. Her teachers have called me at home many times over the years just to go over her progress and talk about the plan for her success. My daughter really enjoys it there and has loved every one

Advanced Placement
