... Read more impressed when my child was given extra help from a former teacher to prepare for the TAKS test (met in a small group twice weekly during school hours) Parental support is phenomenal. They do not bombard you with fundraisers. Art, keyboarding, and music program excellent. Excellent programs and field trips for the kids. Homework at times is extreme. The former first lady and Sadie visited the school this year, and the former American Idol contestant Will McCar performed for the students. Everything seems well planned and runs smooth. You could not ask for a better public school. Having lived in other parts of the country, I would compare Bush to the majority of private schools on the quality of academics coupled with a high level of parent involvement. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course.
