They should invest time and learn about the real Kindergarten methods like those of Frederick Froebel (founder of kindergarten) and maybe go to the library at UIW and go to the Joe Frost collection and see children at this age learn through nurturing and play not forced academics. Frankly, the school and the principle need to reevaluate theses programs. The teachers seem to be doing their best overall. My child now attends a school with more progressive ideas. Read less

Wow! This school is very behind in their teaching styles. My two children went there for 4 years and when they transfered to AHISD they were very behind in Math. After a semester at their new school, my oldest jumped to the top of her 5th grade class. I had many issues with the faculty but most importantly,

Enough cannot be said for Mount's theater program. Mount is the only middle school in San Antonio that is performing well known musicals such as, Oklahoma, Aladin, and The Music Man. Wow, I never would have thought that my son would be performing dance numbers and singing on stage to Broadway music numbers.

This school is overall good. The teachers are the only thing I have a problem with. They are not as experianced as they should be. They are also a very disorganized. They are the only thing I have a problem with. The parents are very friendly and nice. They are always there to welcome and support you.

I'm so blessed to have found this wonderful school. The closeness of the community, the spirituality, and the academics are superb! From the Montessori thru the middle school, I continue to be impressed with all the parents, teachers and staff who share the common goal - each child's potential!

... Read more out. As a parent I had terrible experiences with the teachers and their treatment of my children. Parents in this school form a click, many who are alumni. They get special treatment by the faculty and staff, to the highest level. Their complaints and belly aching comes first. I would not recommend this school at all! Read less

From fundraisers to school events to daily classes, MSH is organized, efficient and does it all with a smile. Everyone on staff is very helpful and welcoming. I'm so happy to have found this little school and the cost of tuition is just the icing on the cake!

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
