I will change my son out of Jackson next school year, because I don't like the bad influence. Sad to said is not the

Jackson is the best middle school i have ever seen! we have had so many good teachers and still continue their legacy! We even help the poor children in Africa! now you can't say we are a bad school, like one of the parents said 'we don't have the nicest facilities' but you know what, i have learned

I am surprised at these reviews of Jackson. This school is terrible. The environment is not safe by any means but hostile. The new principal can not even control the uniform policy much less the behavior of these children. My child transferred from a elementary school that was fanstastic and we

Our daughter is currently in 6th grade and could not feel more cared for or challenged. She has an AIM class that allows her to touch base with the same teacher each day. She feels safe and loves how friendly everyone is to her. For some reason Jackson is not looked upon as one of NEISD's top middle

My son has attended 6th and 7th grade, and will complete 8th grade. Jackson has very strong leadership, including administration and teachers. The principal, Mr. DeFosset, allows the teachers to maintain order in their classrooms, and he backs them up to provide them a sense of support. He listens

Jackson has a very strong band program, involving over half the student body. It regularly wins its yearly competitions. Jackson also has orchestra and other arts. Jackson provides for most sports, allowing for all to participate, regardless of ability, via A, B, and C teams. Jackson has strong parent involvement through PTA, and numerous volunteer hours. The PTA invoked uniforms, which has enhanced the no-nonsense attitude about negative behavior. I highly support and recommend Jackson Middle School. Read less
