I went here last year for 8th grade. My teachers were very nice and really helped me get ready for TAKS. I passed all of them. I like the school but sometimes the kids can be so cruel to each other based on who they hang out with and what they wear and if they are in athletics or not. And most of the
... Read more kids text in class. My friend was being bullied but the counselor gave the bully no punishment and that made me very mad. Other than those few things the school can go above the standards of regular schools and the orchestra and choir do very well in regionals and in dallas. Read less

My family and I recently moved to San Antonio through the military. My 8th grader did not know anyone at the school and was fearful, however the guidance counselors helped her transition go smoothly. They placed her in the nurses' office to assist children one on one which allowed her to meet students.
... Read more Tejeda's administration was also very accomondating and loving when my daughter had difficulties in one of her classes. The staff is always loving toward the children and consequently many children return once they graduate to see the teachers and staff. The school does focus on TAKS test, but more importantly they care about the needs of the children and their families. We love Tejeda and I have another child attending next year. I am an eight grader at Tejeda. The academics here are fantastic! We have great extra-curricular activities. Our athletic program is not good! I am also very disappointed with the way students treat each other. I know we can do better. Go T-Wolves!

Unless your student is having moderate difficulties or disrupting their classes, the teachers are not timely about answering your concerns, either by email or phone. There is no standard following
... Read more of approved text books or TEA guidelines; handouts are used mostly to educate the kids. There is little follow up on the handouts in the class. Focus of education is strictly on TAKS material. I find that the discipline this year for mild infractions, severe at times. If I had money and time, I would move to a smaller school district or homeschool. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
